Getting started
Claim your phone number & test Amy
Amy answers inbound calls for your location. First claim a phone number (DID), then place a short test call so you can hear how booking and FAQs work.
What “claiming a number” means
AiSC assigns (or lets you claim) a phone number that routes to Amy for your location. Callers dial that number; Amy handles greeting, questions, and booking according to your Booking Bot settings.
Claim a number
-
Open the dashboard
Look for the phone / Connect DID prompt or the setup card that asks you to claim a number. -
Claim or confirm the number
Follow the on-screen steps. When successful, your location shows an active business line for Amy. -
Save the number
Store it somewhere your team can find it. You will use it for the test call and later for forwarding or marketing.
Demo behavior
Many demo accounts receive a ready-to-use number automatically when claiming succeeds. If claiming fails or no number is available in your region, contact support — do not publish an incomplete line to customers.
Place a test call
-
Use a real phone
Dial the claimed number from a mobile or landline (not from inside a silent browser tab). -
Listen to the greeting
Confirm Amy answers and the business name / greeting sounds correct. -
Ask a simple FAQ
Example: hours, location, or a service you listed in FAQs. -
Try a booking path
Ask to schedule an appointment. Use a test customer name so your live book stays clean. -
Check the product
After the call, confirm the appointment or activity appears on the schedule / appointments views where expected.
Proof call (when shown)
Some dashboards offer a guided proof/demo call. Use it once to validate the full path, then rely on normal inbound dialing for day-to-day checks.
Minutes
Test calls consume AI minutes. Keep early tests short while you finish FAQ and Booking Bot setup.
If Amy does not answer
- Confirm the number was claimed successfully on the dashboard
- Wait a minute and retry — provisioning can lag briefly
- Check that your trial has remaining AI minutes and has not expired
